Devolver Digital is one of several companies that likes to host annual summer showcase events to talk about its upcoming games, and to no one’s surprise, the indie publisher has confirmed it’ll be doing that this year as well.
Taking to Twitter, Devolver has announced another Devolver Direct presentation, which is scheduled for June 7 at 5 PM Pacific. June 7, incidentally, is the same day that Summer Game Fest premieres as well. Interestingly, this year’s Direct will once again revolve around the company’s totally-not-fake mascot character Volvy, who was introduced in last year’s deranged presentation.
There’s no word yet on which games we can expect to see at the presentation, though Devolver Digital does have a number of title…
Alongside more gameplay for Soulframe, Digital Extremes provided a 22-minute gameplay walkthrough for Warframe: 1999, the next free story expansion for its free-to-play action RPG. Aftersports betting conversing at their base, protagonist Arthur Nightingale sets out to meet Entrati with other members offering backup on some sleek motorcycles. He quickly runs into Major Neci Rusalka and battles several enemies, including an H-04 Efervon Tank. Eventually, he runs into who else but Excalibur and engages in a sword fight.
The gameplay then cuts back to the…
When Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii launches early next year, it’s going to deliver another rather unique kind of Yakuza / Like a Dragon experience, with fan-favourite Goro Majima taking centerstage as an amnesiac pirate. In other ways, however, it’s going to stick to what has worked for the franchise as long as it has been around- the minigames.
With over a dozen minutes of new gameplay footage uploaded recently by IGN, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has showcased some of its minigame offerings, and both of the ones seen in the video will be familiar to series fans.
There’s the kart racing minigame Dragon Kart in all its Mario Kart inspired glory, and, of course, karaoke, which no
Thiago Silva says his early Premier League appearances have left him with headaches, but he is looking to earn a contract extension at Chelsea.
Silva joined Chelsea on a free transfer in August, having not had his contract extended at Paris Saint-Germain.
The ex-PSG captain is 36 yet has quickly had an impact at Stamford Bridge, avoiding defeat in his first eight games in all competitions and helping the Blues climb to fifth in the Premier League, a competition that has already left an impression on the centre-back.
Away with Brazil on international duty, Silva was asked how English football compares to Ligue 1 and Serie A, where he played for Milan.
They are three very different football schools, he told a news conference. I have had a great learning ex…
Developer Hinterland Studio took to The Game Awards to announce its latest survival gRussia Lottoame, Blackfrost: The Long Dark 2. As the name might imply, the title is a follow-up to The Long Dark, and you can check out the trailer for the upcoming game below.

The 2020/21 season kicks off in Ligue 1 this week with Bordeaux taking on Nantes on Friday, and one of the more interesting remaining games of the opening round is the one between Nimes and Brest. Some reports suggested the fixture might be postponed due to four positive cases of Covid-19 at Nimes, but as it stands, it s still set to go ahead on Sunday at the Stade des Costieres, as planned.
Nimes
Nimes barely escaped relegation from the top tier in 2019/20, finishing the season in 18th place with 27 points, just four more than Amiens in 19th, who have gone down with the campaign cut short due to the ongoing pandemic. Therefore, they ll be eager to kick things off in a good way to avoid similar problems this time around.

Kylian Mbappe must head to either LaLiga or the Premier League if he wishes to compete at the top level, believes ex-Barcelona forward Hristo Stoichkov.
The Paris Saint-Germain superstar is the subject of another visible public struggle over his future with the Ligue 1 champions amid a contract stand-off.
Having turned down joining Real Madrid last year in favour of a new two-year deal at Parc des Princes, the World Cup-winning forward is now refusing to sign an extension.
That has led to the 24-year-old being dropped for his side s pre-season tour of Asia, and Stoichkov believes Mbappe must force the move abroad if he is to truly challenge himself.
He is a great player, he told Stats Perform. We have spoken off camera and he has told me that his greater…
Virgil van Dijk says Liverpool never doubted the quality of Darwin Nunez following the striker s recent upturn in fortunes.
Nunez endured a frustrating start to life at Anfield following his big-money move from Benfica, receiving a straight card against Crystal Palace in just his third appearance under Jurgen Klopp.
However, the Uruguay international is starting to hit his stride in English football; his two goals in Saturday s 3-1 win over Southampton taking his tally for the season to nine.
We never doubted his quality but obviously, when you have a price tag like that and the goals are not flowing like you want, it s good [he has shown character] and I think he s done very well, Van Dijk said.
He has all the qualities for a modern-day striker. There …
Ange Postecoglou says Tim Cahill can still have a role in 2018 if the evergreen Australian striker continues to defy the ageing process.
Cahill, 35, will be a key player for Australia at the Asian Cup on home soil next month, with the men in green and gold still reliant on their veteran talisman for goals.
Australia coach Postecoglou had previously suggested the former Everton forward would unlikely to be around when the next World Cup kicks off in Russia in 2018 but Cahill this week claimed he felt capable of continuing until 40.
I d be delighted if he s still banging goals like he is now in four years time, Postecoglou said.
If you go on the evidence of the last 12 months, particularly in international football, Timmy s still a world class striker. I…
